Who are we?

Godalming Cycle Campaign is a small group who aim to encourage non-motorised forms of transport by promoting awareness of the bicycle. We believe that many people who would use a bicycle for journeys of up to a few miles are discouraged by the need to share narrow roads with fast motorised traffic, and we exist to put forward alternative transport strategies - as well as showing that bicycles are great fun.

Where are we?

We meet at the Friends Meeting House in Mill Lane, Godalming (near the station) on the first Tuesday of every month at 7.45 pm for two hours or so. If you're interested in promoting cycle use around Godalming, please come along. There is usually the temptation to visit the pub afterwards.

Join us!

Membership of Godalming Cycle Campaign is now FREE! For that we keep you informed about stuff we do, and how to join in. Interested? Send us an email with your name and quoting "Membership" and we'll get right back to you. (Be nice - it goes to a real human, not a robot...)

Organised Rides

We're normally not very good at organising local rides, but we can suggest you have a look at the website of the Velo Club Godalming + Haslemere (VCGH), who organise a regular series of cycle rides with styles from easy to challenging. Also take a look at the local group of the CTC, the UK's national cyclists' organisation, who organise a series of rides on Sundays and Wednesdays.

Waverley Cycle Forum

You might also be interested in the Waverley Cycle Forum whose main role is to create the opportunity for communication between cyclists, local councillors and county engineers in Waverley. This is the local authority covering Cranleigh, Farnham, Godalming, Haslemere and the adjoining villages.
